π Easy Networking Hack to Land Data Analyst Job
The SPN Method is the easiest way to land a data job.
The βNβ part really tricks people up, but networking doesnβt have to be hard.
Use this quick hack to 10x your networking:
ππ The Phone Book Method ππ
Itβs stupid-simple and super effective.
Open Your Phone: Yep, that's right. Grab your phone and head to your contacts.
List Where They Work: Go through your contacts and jot down where each person works.
Identify Opportunities: Ask yourself, "Would this company hire a data analyst?" and "Do they already have data analysts on staff?" Answer with a simple yes or no.
Reach Out: For the companies that do have data analysts, shoot your contact a text. Something like:
Hey [Friend's Name], do you like working at [Company]? I'm looking to become a data analyst and noticed they have data analysts on staff. Do you know any data analysts there?
That's it. No fluff, just a straightforward question.
If they're truly your friends, or even just acquaintances, they'll likely be willing to help.
The Phone Book Method opens the door to the data world without requiring you to attend endless networking events or send out dozens of cold emails.
π Pretty cool, right?
Keep grinding,
Avery
